Welcome to Binnowee

Welcome to Binnowee Kindergarten. Our community based preschool is located in West Pennant Hills in north western Sydney.

Binnowee, which is an Aboriginal word meaning “a green place,” has been operating as a Kindergarten since 1935. Miss Winifred Macourt began the Kindergarten in the home of Mr. S Oxley, near Thompson’s corner at West Pennant Hills. Eventually the land at 6 New Line Road where Binnowee is now situated was purchased in 1956 and the Kindergarten officially opened in 1957. In 1972 extensions to the Kindergarten were completed bringing the preschool to its present size.

Binnowee Kindergarten caters for 40 children each day in 2 classes and provides a high quality early childhood program. Our preschool is open from 9am to 3pm each day during school terms and caters for chidlren from 3 to 5 years of age. The staff at Binnowee are a highly experienced team who are committed to ensuring that we do the very best for the children in our care so that they find their time at Binnowee is an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
